Your child is using Mathletics as part of their math learning program at school. This means your child has take-home access to Mathletics with their existing school username and password.
The extra Mathletics practice at home can make all the difference in the year's math progress.
A sheet was sent home with your child's user name and password for mathletics. Sign in at www.mathletics.ca.
The program enables your child to work at his/her own pace with progress tracked. Please explore the program with your child. We would like them to use Mathletices at home at least 3-4 times a week to be able to benefit from it.
If you have any questions, please email me at cheryl.arsenault@cssd.ab.ca.
All students in Division II at St. Sebastian have a Mathletics account. If you want access for a child in Division I, you would have to purchase it yourself but it is worth it.

September 2016
We are working on two minute timed quizzes on basic facts at the beginning of math class. We completed 2 times. We will start quizzing on 3x on Thursday, Oct. 6th. Results will be sent home when we complete the 3X quizzes. While students practice 3X at home, we are working on two minute timed quizzes with addition.
Organizing numbers
We are working on Exploring numbers to 10 000 in Math. Students did a great job of taking home workbooks on Thursday and returning them on Monday. We hope parents are able to take a look to see what we are working on. Students are reminded to go back in their workbooks to make corrections.
Parents can lend a hand if needed but students are capable of working on their own with minimal guidance at home.
Science Happenings in 4Ar/Co
We are studying Waste in Our World. We were busy trying to find ways to reuse packaging found in our homes.
